Are you looking to develop your skills in a busy and dynamic specialist centre The Major Trauma Centre at University Hospital of Wales will launched in September 2020 and plays a key role in leading the way in delivering specialist trauma care. The Major Trauma Centre is part of an inclusive and collaborative South West and Mid Wales Trauma Network spanning 6 health board areas.The development of the Major Trauma Centre and Trauma Network seeks to enhance patient clinical and functional outcomes (across the whole pathway from prevention to rehabilitation and on-going care), in addition to improving the experience of patients, their families and staff across the Network.To achieve this we need dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced health care professionals to join this exciting new network. This post offers a rare opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking Band 7 Allied Health Professional to join the multidisciplinary team based at the University Hospital of Wales.The Trauma Rehabilitation coordinator will work as an integral member of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team to co-ordinate the rehabilitation pathway. This will include co-ordinating the patients care while in the acute setting and assisting in facilitating repatriation to trauma centres, transfers for rehabilitaion or discharge home.You will work closely with the clinical trauma leads within the Major Trauma Centre, the Trauma MDT, including trauma coordinators, other rehabilitation coordinators across the network as well as the trauma operational team to deliver high quality, safe care.Suitable applicants will have significant experience working with people who have sustained major trauma.
