This is a temporary role for c3 months starting ASAP, however could be extended past that pointClient DetailsMy client is a not for profit organisation based in CardiffDescriptionReporting the to Financial Director, the Temporary Accountant will be responsible for;1. Preparation of the annual budget and longer-term financial business plans for the group2. Management of cash, grants, loan facilities and lender compliance3. Preparation of annual accounts for statutory audit.4. Compliance to the Groups policies and procedures are maintained.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Preparation of the annual revenue and capital budgets for the group, ensuring the timely delivery to Strategic Management Team and Board for approval.2. Review and preparation of the financial business plan, including the preparation of accurate medium, and long -term cash forecasts.3. Preparation of the quarterly management accounts including income and expenditure account, capital account and balance sheet.4. Preparation and submission of grant applications.5. Maintenance and improvement of the loan portfolio records to enable frequent review and reporting to management on the cash commitments on its borrowings. Covenant compliance monitoring and reporting. Support the Director in seeking and negotiating new loan facilities.6. Manage the grant income, ensuring that grant conditions are met by the Group.7. Support the preparation of the annual accounts in readiness of the statutory audit for the group including effective planning and communications with the external auditors.8. Provide advice and support to operational managers on all aspects of their short and long-term financial planning.9. Keep up to date with ongoing IFRS developments.ProfileYou will be a qualified Accountant or QBEGood range of accounting skills including management accounts, financial planning technical accounting and treasury managementGood systems skills.
