Technical ImprovementLocation CardiffSalary CompetitiveJob OverviewThe Technical Improvement Engineer is responsible for addressing quality issues and implementing system improvements in conjunction with the Operations teams. The role is responsible for ensuring that the business is up to date in its technical practices,working with Operations teams to make recommendations to improve efficiency, delivery on KPI’s and product quality. The role will include responsibility for the monitoring of the quality plans, partnering with Quality Assurance to ensure processes are meetingthe documented technical requirements.Requirements:• Ability to use and apply relevant technical knowledge within a commercial, business environment• Ability to read, understand and successfully interpret work order requirements and quality requirements• A customer focused attitude, with a positive “can do” attitude in communication with external and internal customers• Ability to manage systems & processes to support the technical side of the department• Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills – working with others to provide information that they need to eliminate technical issues / recurring mistakes• Ability to work as part of a team – working flexibly and collaboratively to solve problems• Strong ethical approach and concern to do the “right thing”• Ability to exercise a commercial aptitude and customer awareness• Ability to share knowledge and enable others to learn• Ability to apply technical knowledge and skill proactively to meet customer/ market demand Knowledge and Experience• Familiarisation with quality systems including NAPCAP, ISO 9001/AS9100.• Technical and quality standards knowledge preferably within an Aerospace & Defence environment or some other similar technical/quality critical industrial sector.• Experience working with laboratory technicians, quality personnel and production teamsThis is a fantastic opportunity to working for a leading business, please send your cv in confidence toCOM1
