Exciting opportunity to join as the lead advisory tax professional.Client DetailsMichael Page is partnering with a leading independent practice who are looking to recruit an ambitious tax professional to join as a pivotal hire into their growing Tax team. The firm has grown organically and sustained positive growth over the last yearand they are looking to complement their growth with a lead advisory expert. The firms clients range in size; from small sole traders to large businesses with multi-million-pound turnover. The firm encourages and fosters an ethos of quality service across the entire business, where individuals are developedto achieve their potential and career goals.DescriptionThe key responsibilities for this Tax Advisory Manager position at a leading accountancy firm based in Cardiff are:

  • You will carve a key role in this firms tax team, taking a lead on the delivery of wide ranging tax projects, across both personal, private client and corporate tax planning opportunities, along with overseeing the delivery of a quality compliance service,managing a team.
  • Advisory aspects as follows: R&D, Tax restructuring and demergers, share option schemes, employment related security queries, succession planning.
  • You will work with Partners across the firm delivering advisory/planning delivery and be looking to take initiative and lead on research and projects, working closely with partners to ensure a quality service, in a client facing role.
  • You will have the experience to help support and mentor more junior team members. With positive ongoing growth across the firm, excellent prospects are on offer for career focused professionals looking for a career path on offer beyond management.
ProfileIn order for candidates to be successful when applying for this Tax Advisory Manager role at a leading accountancy firm in Cardiff, you must be:
  • You will be any of the following: ACA/ACCA qualified and/or, ATT / CTA qualified, with a demonstrable strong background across personal and/or corporate tax.
  • Most importantly, you will have experience of delivering advisory and planning projects, gained within the accountancy practice sector, or a specialist tax firm. You may have either a personal, private client focused background to date, or you may be morecorporate tax focused, or have an existing mixed tax focused background.
  • The key requirement will be a strength in advisory focused work and you will be looking to build on your advisory-focused tax career and progress within a leading firm of accountants.
