Job Description

Our highly extremely successful and growing client, is looking to recruit an experienced Systems Analyst to join their busy team in Cardiff.This role will involve maintaining the reliability and security of business systems, providing 2nd and 3rd line support to business system users and customers.In this pivotal role you will also develop reporting to assist the business by providing BI in a clear and accurate format. Analysing new and current systems and proposing enhancements with the aim to improve business efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the merit/security of change requests to enhance systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend integrations with 4th parties and the benefits to the company.
  • Evaluate and compile a business case for any additional systems.
  • Prepare detailed specification for any proposed solution.
  • Test any proposed solution to ensure its effectiveness before final implementation.
  • Assist in the implementation of new systems, taking any remedial action necessary to ensure correct functioning.
  • Provide documentation and technical support following implementation to end users.
  • Train users in the new systems to ensure that it continues to work effectively and to full end user satisfaction.
  • Electronically document all change requests.
  • Ensure ISO 270001, GDPR and IT systems policy and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Provide 3rd line Application support to users.
  • Provide 2nd line Application support when required and support to IT Technicians.
Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Logical approach with high level of problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility & adaptability, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT or Business degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Strong understanding of Azure Active directory.
  • Strong Understanding of Network, Firewall and General Security.
  • Good understanding of Office 365.
  • Good understanding of Exchange online & SharePoint online.
  • An investigative and inquisitive mind.
  • A passion for improving organisational processes.
Desirable Experience:
  • Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or equivalent.
  • CompTIA Network+ equivalent & CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Microsoft EMS.
  • Microsoft End point manager.
  • Mimecast email security.
