Job Description

Support Worker - Cerebral PalsyNewport - From £13 an hour with holiday pay on accrued on top! Brook Street Social Care have been supplying the highest quality care and support staff to hundreds of care organisations across South Wales for over 25 years and are RECRUITING NOW in NEWPORT. Help someone live their life to the fullest with Brook Street Social Care.We have an exciting opportunity to work in a temporary long - term contract in the Newport area supporting a young woman with cerebral palsy in her own home. The support will be 2:1 in the home and the community. The shifts will be every Saturday and Sundayfor 8 hours and will continue on an open-ended basis and the hours will increase over time to include more days and potentially nights as well!The role will be predominantly to support her out to daily activities such as walks in the park or trips to the cinema, appointments and to day centres, and with any personal care requirements as well.The ideal candidate will be someone who is patient, kind and respectful as the support will be delivered in a family home. To be considered to work in this role, you will need:

  • To be reliable.
  • Experienced working with adults with additional needs.
  • Patient, kind and have effective communication skills.
  • Works well with others.
  • Drivers are desirable.
  • Free training provided, if needed for you to support effectively.
You will receive from Brook Street Social Care:
