Job Description

Do you have a passion of supporting young people and want to make a difference to their lives We are actively recruiting agency staff to support young people to enhance their lives and promote independence.Salary: upto £19.00 p/hContract: temporary ongoing shift coverLocation: CardiffShift Times: covering days and nightsReference: GG23062023Responsibilities:

  • Offer care and support to young people with complex needs
  • Ensure safety of the young people at all times
  • Follow policies and procedures of the company
  • Work within the residential care staff team to ensure young people have outstanding support
Requirements:
  • PMVA Trained
  • Experience within the social care sector - essential
  • Excellent work ethic - Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People - desirable
  • Children’s residential support - desirable
  • Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
About the service:Providing support where a young persons placement has collapsed. The role can vary from week to week dependent on the young persons needs.Shifts - Day, Night, Long Days, Waking Nights, Sleep Ins and 24-hour shiftsMain duties and responsibilities:
  • Working with young people in various settings
  • Supporting and supervising young people with challenging behaviour
  • Produce case reports and correspondence.
Experience, training, and qualifications:
  • Substantial experience of working and engaging with young people
  • Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Capable of working well on your own
  • A positive attitude

  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to process an Enhances DBS .
  • Be able to provide 5 years references
