Job Description

Reed Talent Solutions are currently working alongside Digital Health and Care Wales, looking for a number of Software Developers to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.We wish to recruit Support and Business Analysts to join our Software Applications team supporting major National software applications for the NHS in Wales.You will be working within the Community Applications team on the Welsh Immunisation System (WIS), supporting the COVID-19 vaccination programme; and the Children and Young Persons Integrated System (CYPrIS), the National Child Health System for WalesAs a Support & Business Analyst you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.You will be expected to:

  • Provide operational/technical support of the service
  • Resolve problems/faults and user support issues
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to colleagues and other NHS staff
  • Monitor system health daily and resolve underlying issues
  • Deploy and configure major software releases
  • Provide information analysis and reporting
Experience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd line support environment is desirable for this post and experience/knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:
  • Writing SQL queries and common query tuning
  • Basic web technology including web servers
  • Good knowledge in ITIL service Delivery and Service Support
  • RDBMS experience
  • Knowledge of windows
  • Problem solving skills
  • NHS Clinical/Administrative Information and IT requirements
  • Customer and supplier Liaison
