Blueprint recruitment is looking to speak with motivated Structural Engineers to join a leading Design, Engineering and Project Management Consultancy on a permanent basis. As a hybrid position, the successful candidate will be required to attend the Cardiffoffice 3 times per week, and will be joining our clients Building Structures team.You will help our client achieve their plans to grow their Building Services Design practice in South Wales and across the UK, by contributing to a range of exciting Engineering projects in various sectors including, Commercial, Residential, Education, Energy, Transportation and Defence. This is a fantastic opportunity that will see the selected Revit Technician collaborating with major clients on stimulating projects, both domestically and internationally.Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual solutions to problems through to detailed design
• Contribute to the development of the multi-disciplined project teams approach
• Assist in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters
• Present results to clients under the supervision of a lead designer
• Use technical skills and knowledge on a wide range of building structures and apply them to various circumstances
• Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures
• Be aware of and work in compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work, and the project BIM Execution plan
• Experience with parametric modelling software and software coding (Dynamo, Python, C++, etc.) is desirable
• Represent the client on site visits and at design team meetings
• Assist/mentor the development of apprentice and less experienced staff
• Be proactive in self-development
• Undertake research, data collection, and presentation of information
• Help maintain a broad range of skills within the team to ensure full support is provided to the design staff

Requirements:

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, providing a foundational education in the field.
• Graduate Member of relevant body (IStructE or ICE)
• Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership (IStructE or ICE)
• Proven experience in the design of structures using conventional Engineering materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry)
• Experience in the use of structural analysis and design software, with Robot Structural Analysis and Revit experience being desirable
• Embrace new technologies, including digital Engineering, automation, and parametric design
• Strong communication and presentation skills to support client relationships
• A flexible attitude toward the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given, along with the ability to make decisions, act on ones own initiative, and operate proactively.
• A curious-minded individual who enjoys exchanging ideas with others
• Flexibility and willingness to travel and work within other offices for periods of time
