Specification Sales Manager - Solar Roofing SystemsJob Title: Specification Sales Manager - Solar Roofing SystemsIndustry Sector: Solar Tile Systems, Solar Panels, Building Products, Roofing Systems, Roofing, Flat Roofing, Single Ply Roofing, Waterproofing, Waterproofing Membranes, Roof Coatings, Roofing, Specification Sales, Specification, Surveyors, Local Authorities,Consultants, Architects, SpecifiersArea to be covered: South West & South Wales (will head into the South East occasionally)Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on exp) + circa £10,000 bonus Benefits: 45p per mile & comprehensive benefits packagesThe role of the Specification Sales Manager - Solar Roofing Systems will involve:

  • Specification sales position selling a high quality solar tile roofing system
  • 50% of your time will be spent generating specification via: architects, M&E consultants, local authorities, social housing and specifiers
  • Conducting regular CPD seminars
  • The remaining 50% will be spent selling directly to / following projects through with main contractors, sub-contractors and installers
  • Inheriting a well-established territory
  • Provide in depth technical support and advice on site
  • Will be expected to conduct market research and generate leads through using Glenigan ABI
  • Will be required to attend trade shows
  • Typical projects include hotels, schools, healthcare, education, stadiums, facilities, retail
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Solar Roofing Systems with:
  • Must have experience selling a technical related roofing system / building products
  • Ideally solar however not essential
  • Must have experience generating specifications with architects, M&E consultants, local authorities, social housing and specifiers
  • Must have conducted CPD seminars
  • Must be driven and hungry to develop your area
  • Ideally have construction site experience
  • Ability to hunt for new projects whilst also building and retaining relationships along the way
  • Ability to sell a technical solution
