Job Description

Special Needs Support AssistantAre you looking for a new opportunity for the next academic yearAre you passionate about supporting peopleThen do read on!Teaching Personnel have been asked to work in collaboration with an SEN school in Cardiff who are currently recruiting for a number of TAs now and going into September. With covid taking up much of Head Teachers time and effort, the emphasis on temporaryrecruitment solutions are present now more than ever. So if you are looking for a new opportunity, supporting young people and children with Additional Learning Needsthen this could be the adventure you are looking for. Your responsibilities will be:

  • To support the class teacher and a team of Learning Support Assistants to implement an adapted lesson plan to suit the individual needs of each learner.
  • To provide sensory activities.
  • To provide a consistent yet flexible approach to all aspects of learning.
The Successful Special Needs Support Assistant will:
  • Be calming, nurturing & patient in their approach.
  • Have a sense of humour.
  • Be approachable & open to support from those around you.
  • Be proactive in situations that maybe challenging.
