Job Description

Solutions Architect Initially 6 monthsFully Remote£500-600 per day Outside IR35 Unify is proud to be exclusively representing a rapidly expanding Microsoft Partner with an unrivalled reputation in the market.We are currently recruiting for a Solutions Architect in a client facing role requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills, extensive knowledge, and professional experience in designing and implementing complex solutions including data migrations.Many of their customers are engaging them to assist them in some very exciting and impactful projects and this is a great opportunity to join the team and help them deliver some real change.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition of the architecture and design within the team, taking informed decisions on technology and tools whilst following the appropriate standards
  • Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews
  • Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components
  • Work closely with the other developers in determining and following best development and architecture practice
  • Participate in requirement and design meetings for new functionality
  • Develop and manage a relationship with the production support teams and coordinate on troubleshooting and infrastructure issues
  • Facilitate discussions with customers to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Skills and qualifications (essential):
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs services
  • Experience of .NET Framework/Core (C# ASP.NET Web API)
  • Experience integrating with and designing data stores using both SQL technologies - MS SQL and Oracle
  • Experience in defining services using Model-view-controller (MVC) software architectural patterns.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Jenkins/Ansible
  • Designing Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and HTML based services
  • Understanding of performance implications when making design decisions to deliver performant and maintainable software
  • Solid experience with multi-threaded architectures and optimised UIs
  • Understanding of application security requirements
  • Familiarity with writing and validating Unit and Integration tests using standard testing frameworks
  • Excellent knowledge of programming best practices, design patterns etc
  • Experience in application lifecycle design and development projects
  • Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM projects.
Skills and Qualifications (Desirable):
  • Knowledge of databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture
  • Designing web-based services in Microsoft Azure
  • Designing solutions in Microsoft Power Platform
  • Developing solutions within an Enterprise Architecture Framework - working knowledge of and certification in an EA method, eg TOGAF, Zachman
  • CI/CD: Azure DevOps and IaC using Terraform
