Our core Motor Finance brands are Blackhorse and Lex Autolease.The team has an opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual to be part of cross-disciplinary feature teams, you should be able to showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst delivering digital software solutions.About the roleAs a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in helping ensure efficient delivery of digital solutions. We build our own customer facing applications so you will be working with a variety of stakeholders from engineers to product owners and project managersto define and refine solutions to ensure they are building the right thingand building the thing right.You will have the opportunity to identify transformation opportunities and shape the portfolio ofchange to support our cloud ambitions and realise the architecture vision

• Define and agree the Technology Roadmap for lab
• Act as a key partner to our senior software engineers, ensuring that our architecture roadmap is a key input into our technical delivery, as well as listening, understanding, and responding to the needs of the engineers
• Drive best practice initiatives.
• Shape our control framework, working through Engineers and Architects to deliver patterns and standards set ready for modern digital development

So, what are we looking for in you

• Youll be a skilled negotiator, analytical in your approach and a keen problem solver
• Be able to work with business, risk, and audit stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance
• Provide coaching on technical and application queries to software engineers within Feature, Project, and Run/Service Teams
• Have a Transformation mindset. Leading and driving forward transformation opportunities in the lab to support agility / capability building and the wider Engineering Transformation Strategy

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Exposure to full stack engineering platforms including integration layers & backend systems
• Exposure in some or all of the following core technologies:
  • Java, Angular, React, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest APIs
  • Node.js, JavaScript, SQL Server, .Net and C# knowledge
• Solid understanding of containerisatione.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Public and Private Cloud hosting patterns & best practices
• Solid understanding of DevOps / DevOps Toolsets / Automation Tools
• Strong understanding of building applications through containerised microservices-based architectures, with a working-to-strong understanding of cloud methodologies
• Working knowledge of infrastructure and security architecture practices and concerns
• Experience with agile development methods, practices & tooling e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence.
