Job Description

Our client, a proud Welsh business with a 50-year heritage sees digital technology as a strategic enabler for transformation and providing a new high-quality customer experience.As a Service Desk Engineer (2nd line level), you will support production and user services. You will be supporting our clients ifrastructure and Azure cloud services.Experiece Needed

  • Held a role as a Service Desk Analyst or in a technical IT support-based role (2nd line preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft applications and Office 365
  • Experience in a Cloud Native or Hybrid working environment (ideally Azure)

Experience you are likely to get from the Service Desk Engineer (Level 2) role
  • Training and experience in Microsoft Azure (Azure Fundamentals) and Office 365
  • Greater Azure admin permissions - including advanced training on supporting Teams, Sharepoint and CRM.
  • Training and experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other industry-leading applications
  • An introduction to Infrastructure as code (IAC).

You will be able to support the business ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and efficient mannerand that service delivery is not impacted will ensure business and colleague needs are met.
  • Investigate performance issues and develop fixes to support BAU activity
  • Investigate Azure-related issues and develop fixes to support BAU activity using Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Investigate CRM issues - (logins, permissions)
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation
  • Ensure systems changes and fixes align with agreed principles and standards
  • Undertake detailed triage activities on Infrastructure incidents to provide full information to resolve.
Remuneration and further details
  • Salary £28,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Based in Cardiff City Centre operating in a highly flexible Hybrid workspace
  • 4 days a week in the office, 1 day a week from home
