Job Description

Want to work for a world leader in constructionHaving secured a number of large scale projects in South Wales and a respected presence in the region, this Tier 1 contractor are innovative and creative delivering complex construction schemes across a variety of sectors. They are keen to appoint an experiencedSenior Planner to join their growing and professional team. Joining their pre-construction function servicing the South Wales region and reporting into a Director, you will be responsible for the tender and site planning on a range of construction schemes with values up to £40m, ensuring optimum sequencing is reflectedin the programmes and delivered on site. As a lead Planner for the South Wales business unit, the Postholder will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • provide a full planning service during pre-qual, tender, contract and post contract stages of construction schemes.
  • Using planning software, you will work closely with management, clients and consultants providing advice and guidance on methodology and sequencing
  • producing accurate plans, programmes and strategies to enable schemes to be completed to time, budget and quality.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced members of staff to ais their professional development
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within a recognised main contracting construction company, site experience and sound knowledge of the construction process, excellent communication skills, fully IT literate and be ableto work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
