Insolvency Service put their customers at the heart of what they do, helping to identify and deliver the best services for their needs.My client provide key services including:• Service Governance• Business Relationship Management• Service Architecture• Digital Services• Cyber Security and Information Governance• Digital Programme DeliveryDigital Services are responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting the agency’s line of business applications. Digital Services is a predominantly an in-house team, with a small 3^rd party DevSecOps function. They have recently moved away from a hybriddevelopment and support partnership, with the aim of bringing the function in-house.Job descriptionInsolvency Service are looking for a 2 x Senior .NET and 1 x Java/Python Developers to join the busy, multidisciplinary team in Digital Services, Insolvency Service.What You’ll Do

• Assist our Developers in one of our agile teams, acting as a mentor and coach.
• Be able to guide the way that the other developers in the team work.
• To be involved in identifying appropriate technology and approaches, deciding when software should be written
• Contribute to the developer community
• Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and the adoption of good practice

Skills & Experience

• You will be a subject matter expert in .NET, Java or Python
• You will be experienced at supporting and mentoring junior developers
• You will have experience as a full stack developer, used to working on frontend, API/Webservice and database applications
• You will have experience in developing for the cloud, preferably Microsoft Azure
• You will be proficient at implementing software development patterns and standards such as MVC, REST, SOLID, SOA, OIDC or OAUTH.
• You will demonstrate an understanding of integration patterns such as real-time, scheduled, API, batch or messaging services
• You will be proficient at implementing and checking code quality including the use of unit testing, peer reviews and code analysis
• You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile fashion
• Familiarity with GOV.UK’s Service Standards and building services against those standards would be beneficial

If based outside of London, the role pays between £41,880 £47,822 and if based in London, the role pays between £43,856-£50,079 (depending on experience). The role will require you to go to your local Insolvency Service office twice a week.
