Job Description

Senior Data Scientist - Cardiff (Hybrid role, 1 or 2 times per week in office) - £70,000 - £80,000 Yolk Recruitment is hiring for an experienced, highly motivated, and ambitious Senior Data Scientist in Cardiff focused on developing forecasting models in the advertising/media world. This is an opportunity for someone to truly leave their mark via developingpredictive, prescriptive and diagnostic models and algorithms all within a new South Wales-based team.What youll be doing:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Implement deployment, monitoring, and testing architecture (CI/CD)
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will help optimize the performance of campaigns.
  • Engineer data pipelines for cleansing and ingesting new datasets; create and optimize databases in which the data will be stored.
  • Build an agile infrastructure for the team and provide mentorship for more junior team members.
What youll bring:
  • 5 + years of experience in a data science field
  • Python (numpy, pandas, sklearn, scipy etc.) and/or R (dplyr, tidyr, mlr) experience.
  • Strong SQL background.
  • Exposure and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
  • Expert level machine learning and deep learning experience.
  • Strong experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.

  • Basic salary between £70,000 and £80,000
