A fun, exciting, hands-on opportunity awaits the right candidate!The OpportunityAs the Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role, focusing on the growth and presence of the business, within a certain market, by taking control of tender responses.You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams, to expand new business opportunities, while ensuring the existing client relationships are maintained to a high standard.Responsibilities of the Senior Business Development Manager

  • Research, identify, and evaluate tender opportunities in their specific sector
  • Prepare, view, and submit compelling tender responses that align with client requirements and the company’s capabilities
  • Work closely with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure all aspects of the tender are addressed effectively
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to target and win new catering contracts
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of potential clients and opportunities
  • Research and analyse trends and competitor activities
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, to strengthen the presence of the business within the sector
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns
  • Provide input into pricing strategies and proposals to maximise profitability, whilst remaining competitive
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth
  • Collaborate with marketing to create tailored materials and campaigns
  • Be a self-starter, able to manage own workload and priorities and thrive in an autonomous environment
The ideal candidate will have
  • First hand experience in the contract catering industry
  • Proven track record in business development and tender response management
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
