Job Description

Principal Support & Business Analyst (Immunisation)Salary: £38,890 to £44,503Hours: 37.5hrs per weekTenure: PermanentYou will be working within the Community Applications team specifically to work on the brand-new Welsh Immunisation System (WIS) supporting the COVID-19 vaccine, and the National Child Health System - Children and Young Persons Integrated System (CYPrIS). As a Support you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians. You will be expected to:-Provide operational/technical support of the service-Resolve problems/faults and user support issues-Provide guidance and technical advice to colleagues and other staff-To ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.-To provide in-depth specialist advice, support and training.-To support, design and develop the NWIS applications and service for which is responsible.-To ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.-To provide in-depth specialist advice, support and training to the NHS in various areas of health-informatics.-To provide in-depth specialist information analysis-Monitor system health daily and resolve underlying issues-Deploy and configure major software releases-Provide information analysis and reportingExperience of working within a software service delivery and 2nd line support environment is essential for this post and experience/knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:- Writing SQL queries and common query tuning- Basic web technology including web servers- Good knowledge in ITIL service Delivery and Service Support- RDBMS experience- Knowledge of windows- Problem solving skills- Customer and supplier Liaison - The ITIL V3 practitioner certificate in IT service management.- The PRINCE 2 practitioner certificate in project management- ISEB Diploma in Business AnalysisWe are looking for highly motivated individuals who can quickly learn our systems and respond to a variety of support requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for those with operational IT skills wishing to work at a National level.There may be a requirement to work as part of an on-call rota covering a 24/7 service.Certes Computing (and all of its subsidiary companies) is committed to promoting equality and diversity in its business operations.
