Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a heart for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to present a unique opportunity for a talented Welsh-speaking SEN Teaching Assistant to join adynamic school community in Cardiff. If you possess the passion and skills to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN, we want to hear from you!Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Specialised Support: Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN to ensure their individual needs are met.
  2. Inclusive Learning: Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  3. Adapted Teaching Strategies: Implement specialised teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of SEN students.
  4. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students care.
  5. Behavioural Support: Employ strategies to promote positive behaviour and address any challenges that may arise.
  6. Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and organisation of adapted teaching materials and resources.
Requirements:
  1. Fluency in Welsh: Proficient in both written and spoken Welsh to facilitate effective communication.
  2. SEN Experience: Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly advantageous.
  3. Educational Background: A relevant qualification in education or special education is desirable.
  4. Compassion: A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and a commitment to their holistic development.
  5. Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to the unique needs of each SEN student.
  6. Clearance: Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process.
