Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Primary School Teacher to work in a Special Educational Needs School in Llanishen. This is a long-term temporary role to start as soon as possible. The role would be open to newly qualified teachers and experiencedteachers and the salary offered will reflect the level of experience. I am looking to collate candidate applications as soon as possible.The School:Reed Education are proud to be working with this aspirational special school for pupils with additional learning needs arising from Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD). The school caters for primary aged pupils, who have a statement of SpecialEducational Needs (SEN). Many of the pupils who attend have additional barriers to learning including ADHD, ASD, ODD and mental health difficulties. The staff-pupil ratio is high with at least 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants in each class. The curriculumthat is provided for pupils is personalised with a strong emphasis on wellbeing of pupils.Job description:The role is to teach pupils of a primary school age, prepare lessons and resources and mark and assess work. You will be expected to liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologistsand manage challenging behaviour.Requirements: Must be a qualified teacher with QTS Experience in working with students with SEBD.
