Job Description

Security / Fire Engineer - Installation Location: Cardiff, WalesSalary: £40,000 + Dependant on experienceJob Type: Full Time The Client:Our client are a leading mechanical and electrical engineering company offering diverse solutions including Fire & Security, Gates & Barriers and IT/Network Solutions, They require a Security / Fire engineer to provide effective support to the business by way of installation & commissioning.The Role:The Security /Fire Engineer will have the relevant experience in the below systems

  • Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Access Control
  • CCTV
  • Fire Systems
  • VESDA
  • Remote Signalling Systems such as Dualcom
(Training will be provided to a suitable candidate if there are specific areas in which experience is lacking)Skills Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proven technical background with a good knowledge of Intruder Alarm systems, CCTV and Access Control Systems and Remote Signalling systems such as Dualcom
  • Familiar with British Standards relating to the above including PD662:2017, BS8243, BSEN50132
  • Smart Clean Appearance
  • Commitment to delivering high quality customer service
  • Ability to organise workload from pre-issued planner to maximise efficiency and cost control
  • Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Full Driving License
  • Good understanding of DVRs and their capabilities
