Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students lives Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to join our team and work in one of our esteemed schools in Cardiff. This role is immensely rewarding, providing an opportunityto make a difference in the lives of young learners. If you have a background in support or mental health, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic educational community.Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address students emotional and mental health needs.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
  3. Develop and implement effective strategies to promote students social-emotional well-being.
  4. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records.
Requirements:
  1. Accredited qualification in Counselling or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Empathetic and compassionate approach to working with students.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Understanding of current issues in education and mental health.
