About The ServiceAn exciting opportunity has become available at Cardiff Council Childrens Services, and we are recruiting a part time (27 hours) Residential Child Care Officer for Ty Storrie, which is a short break facility for young people and their families with specialist facilities.About the jobThe successful candidates will be part of a vital team providing a comprehensive service to young people between the ages of 6 -18 inclusive, ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the young people.We deliver high quality care to young people using the Signs of Safety Framework which is an innovative strength based approach that provides stable, safe and nurturing placements.What We Are Looking For From YouAs a Residential Childcare Officer, you will play an essential role in caring for our young people. We are looking for enthusiastic, emotionally literate and highly motivated individuals. You must be able to demonstrate a "can-do" attitude and be driven to go the extra mile. Working in a positive and respectful manner, you will provide individualised care through the development of professional and effective relationships.A vital part of the role is the ability to work within a shift pattern of morning, evening, weekend and bank holiday working, plus sleep-in -duties.
