Job Description

Job Profile for Quantity Surveyor - SW252461Our client, a Rope Access specialist, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join them due to continued growth, based from either their Swindon or Cardiff office. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a range of contracts spanning both the rail & civil engineeringsectors. Duties include but are by no means limited to:

  • Subcontract procurement via tenders and preparing and completing subcontract documentation.
  • Manage subcontractors - include placing orders, assessing applications, preparing payment notices, monthly liabilities and accruals
  • Preparing monthly CVRs for internal meetings
  • Valuing work instructions
  • Manage and maintain our relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Submission of variations and early warnings
  • Input into budgets, forecasting and monthly reconciliations
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years quantity surveying experience, ideally in the civils / rail sector but all areas of construction will be considered. The candidate will also need to be based within commuting distanceof Cardiff or Swindon and hold a full driving licence.Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years Quantity Surveying experience
  • Full driving licence
  • Based within commuting distance of Swindon OR Cardiff
  • Ideally have some knowledge of the Rail or civils sector (not essential)
  • Must be looking for a permanent role
Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £30k - £42k (open to discussion)

  • 40 hour week, Monday to Friday with paid breaks
