Quantity SurveyorSouth Wales ProjectsMonday - Friday (Days)£60,000 + Benefits *MAIN CONTRACTOR & NEW BUILD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a days based position with the opportunity to work on major projects throughout South WalesThe company are a highly respected industry leader in their field who provide multi-discipline services to clients across all sectors of Construction. Due to a securing several new Housing Association projects they are looking to expand their team with a Quantity Surveyor.They are able to provide a position enabling you to play an integral role in company growth. The company actively encourage the development of their staff and pride themselves on a dynamic and supportive culture.Your duties as a QS will be to manage the commercial resources of the assigned projects to maximise forecast gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts and to assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risksthrough the implementation of the companys policies for risk management.The Role: Quantity Surveyor: Site surveys to produce detailed specifications, Valuations, variations, controlling the commercial elements of the role Site / Office / Remote working split Available to start ASAP Oversee commercial responsibility for 2-4 projects valued between £3m and £15m. Number of projects would depend upon size and complexity, the company are very diverse in the nature of the construction projects undertaken, which for example could be Privatehouse building, social housing/apartments, office buildings etc. Whilst the majority of the sites/projects are in South Wales, there may be a requirement to travel around Cardiff, Newport, Swansea & BridgendThe Person- Experience in High rise residential/housing developments Minimum Qualification of HNC/HND in Construction/Civil Engineering Experience working as a QS with leading or recognised companies/contractors Multiple project experience with values £500k to £15m Good working knowledge of excel formulas and spreadsheets Sound knowledge of all forms of contracts but specifically JCT D&B would be an advantage
