Job Description

Quality Manager THE COMPANYIQE is the world leader in the development and production of compound semiconductor materials. THE ROLE The Quality Manager will be responsible for the outgoing quality of all South Wales sites. They will have full responsibility for Issue management and Customer feedback.To engage with the site leadership team to identify and eliminate quality risks within the process, and subsequently mitigate the risks identified. To bring together key stakeholders to resolve customer issues within targeted timeframes. MAIN RESPONSBILITIESThe primary focus of this role is to Ensure the Site QMS conforms to customer and regularity requirements

  • The QM Is responsible for Quality Meetings, Quality Technical Support Services and Product
  • Liaises with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and coordinate internal actions where necessary.
  • Develops Quality Plan and Roadmaps to meet Customer Satisfaction, Warranty and internal quality
  • metrics using company standards.
  • Coordinates plant teams to improve quality using 6-Sigma methodology
  • Responsible for leading Quality Operating System (QOS) initiatives within the production
  • Keep traceability records regarding quality actions for future reference.
  • Manage quality documentation on FTT, 8Ds, Scrap, Dock Holds, Dock Audit, etc.
  • Co-ordinate/Participate in Quality and Contamination audits.
  • Lead cross functional team initiatives in quality to achieve no faults forward / zero defects.
  • Lead 8D resolution of warranty and customer concerns working together with other departments
  • and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the QMS conforms to customer and regularity requirements
  • Manage the customer complaints process
  • Manage the Change process
  • Provide Quality data to enable site improvement
  • Implement IATF & Qualsys against project timeline
  • Manage & Review site scorecard
  • Site specific knowledge of customers and products
  • QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree qualified in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or Scientific background.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a Quality Management role.
  • Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certified but preferably Black Belt certified.
  • Working Knowledge of Advanced Quality tools.
  • Experience in implementing and Managing Quality Accreditation
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 , IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 implementation & certification

  • 31 days paid holiday in each holiday year inclusive of an entitlement to the usual public holidays in England and Wales.

The Company shall contribute an amount equal to 10% of your salary, and you shall contribute an amount equal to 5% of your salary, to the Scheme during each year of the Appointment.   • Sickness Insurance, allowing up to 75% of salary to be paid (after an initial six-month waiting period), following sickness or disability preventing return to work. Scheme Rules apply.
  • Membership of a medical “cash plan”. The plan will reimburse (to agreed levels) costs incurred for defined medical treatments.
  • Death in Service Benefit of four times annual salary.
  • Eligibility to participate in IQEs discretionary bonus scheme
  • Eligibility to participate in IQE share plans. At the time of this offer, the Company plans to award share options annually on 01 January each year. All share options will be subject to the IQE approved share plan rules in force at the time of the award/grant. IQE retains the right to amend or terminate the IQE share plans at any time.
