An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Engineer to work for our client who is a leading engineering company based in Cardiff.Role: Quality Control EngineerLocation: CardiffDuration: Permanent Position Background:A Quality Control Engineer is required to join a dynamic independent business and will be responsible for reporting to the Technical Director. Key AccountabilitysThey will be a confident and proficient communicator who can work within a team and have excellent organisational skills. Experience within fabrication would be desirable.*Manage workshop progress against production schedules and report to the required stakeholders when needed.*Manage QA plans and ensure inspection points are followed, including notifying stakeholders of any up-dates when needed.*Follow Health And Safety regulations (WPSs, Works Instructions etc.)*Carry out final inspection of goods prior to dispatch, checking that the product meets the companies standards and all documentations are completed.*Responsible for the inspection of goods and ensuring anything which does not meet the standards is identified.*Arranging of sub-contract NDE as required by QA plans.*Carry out a weld inspection and sign off reports/ITP accordingly*Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders during inspections and testing.*To obtain workshop and project consumables whilst managing the issue of project documentation to the workshop.*Monitor issue of welding consumables (electrode issue list).Skills and Experience: *Have visual weld inspection qualifications, PCN or CSWIP.*Experience within fabrication would be desirable.*Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word in particular.Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
