Job Description

NOW Careers are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer role in Central Cardiff. This is a full time, permanent position offering full training in a new role and great progression prospects.Salary: £25,000paReporting to the Quality Manager, duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the Quality and Risk Team to ensure that the business, its employees and activities comply with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Assisting with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the firms Quality Management System to internal and external requirements and standards (including ISO9001, Lexcel, SRA Standards and Regulations and GDPR)
  • Working closely with the Quality and Risk Team assisting with firm projects to drive continual improvement and to reduce waste and increase the efficiency of the firms processes
  • Working on projects to establish new processes within the firm to drive continual improvement, to attain new accreditations, to comply with new or changing regulations and to respond to advancements in technology or changes in the industry as required bythe firm
  • Dealing with Quality and Compliance queries
  • Assisting with the analysis and review of Quality and Compliance data and collaborating with the Quality and Risk Team and the wider firm to drive change and improvement
  • Contributing to departmental management information reports
  • Assisting with the Due Diligence reviews of suppliers
  • Drafting firm wide communications and assisting with the education and training of staff regarding Quality and Compliance issues and initiatives
Qualifications, skills and experienceThe successful candidate will have demonstrated 3+ years knowledge/experience in a quality or compliance role in a professional services environment.Strong organisation, IT and time management skills are required along with the ability to deliver high quality work, during busy times.The ability to learn and stay up to date with changing and emerging requirements related to the firms quality standards,Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key personnel around the firm.The ideal candidate will have working experience of ISO 9001 and Lexcel. Working experience of lean principles applied in an office environment is also desirable.An understanding of the legal environment and the SRA Standards and Regulations will be a distinct advantage, along with working knowledge of GDPR and Money Laundering Regulations.
