Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join a growing team in Cardiff. This is a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer. A global company with a strong UK presence specialising in offering project management and consultancy services to the constructionindustryThis is an exciting opportunity to join and shape the Project Management offering as the newly established team in Cardiff grows. The role would suit an individual who not only hopes to deliver a variety projects but who is interested in developing clientsand taking a strategic view as we develop our PM capabilities in Wales.The role also offers the opportunity to work across the retail, healthcare, higher education and residential sectors among others in the future for a wide range of clients within the private and public sectorYou will gain valuable project and client exposure, be given responsibility for your own projects and be offered a platform to progress with genuine support from the team and wider business to achieve your career goals.The roles are mainly in the South ofEngland and although you will be working from home you will be expected to visit clients and sites and you may have to visit the closest office to you for the odd meeting.Key Responsibilities:

  • To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
  • To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
Professional Skills:
  • Management and preparation of key stage reports from feasibility through to completion and post-handover
  • Preparation of various programmes/projects
  • Management of meetings, taking and preparation of minutes
  • Preparation of progress reports and presentation at monthly client meetings
  • Managing multiple projects on LIVE operational sites
  • Assistance with the preparation of contract documents
  • Management of multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Working knowledge of various forms of building contracts
  • Experience of Administering building contracts
  • Industrial sector experience
Person Specification:
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
  • CRICS or CIOB qualification or working towards it
Essential:
  • Project Management experience within construction
  • Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
  • A team player with a can do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
