Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager, to join a highly reputable organisation, on a temporary basis until March 2023. If you have proven evidence of managing multiple projects with over-lapping timelines, following a criticalpath and within budget, then we would like to hear from you.Main duties:-

  • Working within the Industry & Waste Team, ensure that implementation and reporting of the suite of sub-projects fully adheres to procurement practices and procedures.
  • Ensure that all key project documentation is obtained, shared, and communicated seamlessly to the relevant internal and external parties in good order and in a timely manner to facilitate the smooth execution of a project.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed implementation plan for the hazardous waste reserve spend
  • Undertake research as required and produce complex documents that provide advice, guidance, or options which others will use and act upon
  • Monitor progress against the implementation plan and undertake regular reviews to ensure full delivery of the project within the FTA time period
  • Principle point of contact for each sub-project with the relevant UK and Welsh Trade Associations, Government Department and environmental regulators, both UK and European
  • Monitoring budgets for financial tracking and reporting project progression
Candidate:-
  • Must have Project Management experience, including budget management, management of staff, work programming and successful delivery of projects
  • Ideally, experience in informing and influencing government departments & regulators
  • A strong communicator and the ability to maintain close links with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to desirable
  • Work well under pressure and thrive in a demanding role
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste would be an advantage
