Job Description

Project Management Officer - £43,000, PMOWe are working with one of the worlds largest organisations who are hiring for Project Management Officers in Cardiff. The role sits within their Business Restructuring Services (BRS) practice and is the largest restructuring practice in the UK operatingfrom 23 offices, offering a wide range of financial, operational, advisory and insolvency services to clients across all sectors.Within the newly mobilised Cardiff BRS team, they are launching a Project Management team. They are particularly keen to attract people with project management / coordination experience in the Insurance sector, as well as the Public Sector (NHS and Government).This role requires being in the office 2 days per week.Essential skills:

    • Experience either working in the public sector or insurance
    • Previous PMO and / or Project Management experience
    • Great stakeholder management skills and the ability to rapidly build relationships at all levels
    • Someone proactive, and willing to take ownership to get results
    • A team player, yet shows personal initiative
    • Strong project planning abilities and ability to deliver real time MI
    • Effective communicator; both written and verbal
Desirable skills:
    • Ideally a professional qualification such as PRINCE2, APMP, PMP, Agile, Scrum, but will consider all applicants with relevant experience
    • Familiarity with Google suite a bonus, but not essential
    • Financial expertise is desirable, but not essential
Youll be:
    • Working directly with the wider Business Restructuring team and external clients to ensure effective project delivery
    • Developing and maintaining effective project plans, risk and issue tracking (RAID logs)
    • Benefits tracking and reporting, using relevant tools and templates
    • Managing costs, budgets
    • Using technology to develop dashboards and work efficiently
    • Interacting, coordinating and influencing key project stakeholders
