Job Description

This Product Development role involves being accountable for multiple NPD launches within EMEA and USA in conjunction with relevant teams/departments.Client DetailsLarge consumer brand manufacturer/distributor, that operates in the UK, US & Middle East.DescriptionFor this Product Development Manager role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the marketing team to identify areas of opportunity to develop new products and ranges
  • Spotting/reviewing market trends and competitor products
  • Briefing external specialists, whilst obtaining required information
  • Managing relevant translations requirements, sharing technical specifications with product designer for final packaging and ensuring products are compliant for all sales territories
  • Project managing product development according to the critical path and timelines
  • Liaising with lawyers/authorities to ensure Trademarking requirements for new brands in development are in place
  • Building effective relationships with all key stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure engagement leading to project delivery and maximising the NPD opportunity
  • Communicating project timelines and status to the wider team
  • Revisiting existing products on a regular basis to research potential ways to improve
ProfileTo be considered for this Product Development Manager opportunity, you will have/be:
  • Experience in a previous product development role, ideally in consumer products
  • Ability to project manage
  • Ability to build relationships with project team (internal and external) to make well-reasoned decisions / proposals with strong influence
  • Positive attitude with high energy, drive, and determination to overcome issues
  • Experience in leading delivery of NPD projects to market via an FMCG supply chain
  • Analytical and detailed approach
  • An excellent communicator
