OverviewReed Procurement have partnered with a lovely organisation that operate in the Public Sector industry in South Wales, who are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their close knit team. As Procurement Manager, you will be leading a small team to help embedProcurement practices into the organisation. This will give you the opportunity to be the voice of Procurement in the business, and ensure Procurement has a voice and seat at the table internally. If you like working for an organisation that has its valuesat its core, and with an entity that is doing something worthwhile to help people in their community, this could be a great opportunity for you!Duties: Ensure all procurement policies and processes meet legal requirements and are in line with best practice and offer expert advice. Manage formal tendering and other procurement processes in line with Welsh Government directives and EU regulation. Responsible for developing and managing the full procurement cycle from sourcing and tendering process to outcome reporting. Responsible for and act as sign off for all tender evaluation criteria, terms & conditions, OJEU notices, SQ & ITT packs for major procurements. Supports the Director of Development & Asset Investment, and takes the lead in tender evaluation, financial appraisals, whole life costing, and takes the lead in supplier negotiations and managing risk effectively throughout the process.What youll Need: Experience of operating at Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager level within the Public Sector. CIPS qualified or near completion. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015).***Remote / Hybrid Working options available to suit you***
