Job Description

Process Engineer, Cardiff, £35,000pa plus benefits:MARS Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a world leading specialist manufacturer who provide innovative solutions to the global Life-Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Power, Electronics industries. Enjoying a sustained period of growth, theirnew state of the art facility near Cardiff is looking to recruit a Process Engineer with five years chemical processing and chemical engineering experience. The Process Engineer role offers a unique opportunity for a Process Engineer with several years ofexperience to grow, develop and establish a career within an industry leading company.The Role: The Process Engineer will own and manage large capital projects for increasing production capacity and making improvements in efficiencies. The role will provide you with a unique experience to have responsibilities in projects from the outset. The rolerequires an organised, methodical and hands on approach, working closely with other Engineers, Operators and other technical personnel to develop suitable systems to automate and control the manufacturing process. Work as part of the project team to scaleup processes and implement new systems effectively, on time and within budget. This may also require interfacing with third party contractors to develop a detailed functional design specification and project manage these development projects.About you:

  • Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Awareness of H&S and Process Safety topics (DSEAR, ATEX, Risk Assessment).
  • High level of competency with MS Office
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on environment
  • Any experience in the following would be highly desirable:
  • Minimum 1-year industrial experience (University placement or similar), ideally the candidate will possess additional high value experience.
  • Work as a self-starter as part of a growing team
  • Highly numerate, technically minded and analytical, with a love of problem solving and the ability to balance creativity with logic.
  • Experience working with chemicals of varying hazards.
