Were now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.Vacancy DescriptionAn excellent opportunity for a Principal Engineer Civils / CRE to join Capita Infrastructures Rail & Public Transport team based in Cardiff working across a varied range of regional and UK investment projects.You will be part of a small team undertaking a full range of challenging and varied work in the planning, appraisal, design and implementation of rail and public transport schemes, working for a number of clients on projects, in Wales and the rest of the UK.The Role:To work as part of the Rail team with a broad range of expertise in the field of Transport Planning and Engineering.The post holder will beresponsible for undertaking and managing commissions including engineeringfeasibility and outline design of rail projects (GRIP 1-4) to support businesscases, co-ordinating input from engineering and environmental disciplines andsupporting the option selection and development process, collatingmulti-disciplinary reports, liaising with stakeholders and Technical approvalbodies submitting completed technical reports to clients. You will act as a ContractorsResponsible Engineer (Design) for Rail Civil Engineering projects.You will also help promotethe Capita rail engineering offer to Contractors in Wales and the West andsupport the wider UK rail engineering businessResponsibilities

  • Act as Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) - Rail Civils Design

  • Mange delivery teams working in collaboration with other disciplines in the Common Data Environment
  • Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications
