Job Description

PRICING ANALYSTUP TO £50,000 + BONUSCARDIFFLeading financial services company is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join their growing pricing team. The company works with many different products, and are looking to diversify and work with more in the future. This role offers a great opportunity to work within pricing while also having plenty of exposure to data science techniques. If you have experience in pricing and are looking for your next move, apply below!THE ROLE:The Pricing Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Analysing our pricing structures and past performance to improve risk selection
  • Assessing the usefulness of new data sources, both external and internal
  • To support some of the more complex and detailed projects within Pricing
  • Communicating results and ideas to key decision-makers across different group companies, including Heads of Department and CEO/COO
  • Collaborating with peers in pricing and with stakeholders from all relevant areas of the business
  • Coaching/mentoring team members
  • Supporting with the management and development of the Pricing Analysts and other junior members of the team
    • YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:The perfect Pricing Analyst will have:
  • STEM Degree
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills supported by a solid academic and work background
  • 2 years + in any general financial service pricing role
  • Experience of working with SAS or SQL
  • Proactive and creative approach to taking initiative and getting things done
  • Willingness to learn from the bottom up and put in the time to acquire the necessary technical skills
  • Team player with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience of GLM and/or Machine Learning techniques and software such as Emblem is an advantage
  • Ideally you will have some coaching/mentoring experience (inside or outside of work)
    • THE BENEFITS:The successful Pricing Analyst will receive a salary of up to £50,000 based upon on experience.
