The role will play a key part in the development and delivery of the Societys influencing priorities, with the objectivethat dementia is on the political agenda for politicians, opinion leaders and decision makers and ensuring that the organisation maximises its opportunities to drive positive change for people affected by dementia.Working as part of the influencing team in Wales and the wider Advocacy and System Change team within the Research and Influencing directorate, the role will support the provision of evidence based and persuasive policy positions supporting the delivery ofan influencing and advocacy strategy that is ambitious, aligned and seeks to leverage positive change.About you

  • Excellent knowledge of the political and policy making processes, particularly in Wales
  • Ability to identify key levers for change.
  • Support our influencing work in Wales
  • Help build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including politicians, civil servants and decision makers who can support our ambition.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by people affected by dementia as well as the health and social care policy environment in Wales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in monitoring and analysing developments in the public policy environment that will provide the evidence base for focussed campaigning activity.
