Working as part of a team to administer SSAS or SIPP schemes on a portfolio or functional basis as required by the business. This will involve either cradle to grave administration of schemes or specialisation in one or more functions, including but notlimited to: new business, property and investment transactions, bank reconciliations, regulatory reporting, processing retirements, deaths, divorces and transfers.Duties To deliver appropriate solutions to clients which are relevant/cost effective whilst meeting regulatory and corporate standards. To ensure output to all customers is of a high quality and technically correct at all times; meeting regulatory and corporate standards. To ensure that all reporting requirements are met in relation to regulatory deadlines. To follow and adhere to documented processes. To meet the performance service standards set by the business, currently:Target - 98% of risk items completed inside SLA (minimum 95%)Target - 95% of standard items completed inside SLA (minimum 90%). Debt control management requiring the pro-active recovery of unpaid debts, reporting any issues to management as appropriate. Manage pension scheme liquidity in relation to pension payments and financial transactions. To maintain work control systems, manual and electronic files and ensure scheme database(s) are accurate and up to date at all times. Where appropriate, to act as "buddy" and/or "mentor" to at least one other technician to ensure business needs are met at all times. Where appropriate, to act as a point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients/advisers for all work requests, providing administrative/technical assistance, liaising with team managers and the technical team as appropriate. To behave professionally and in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct at all times. To provide input/take an active part in any projects or initiatives undertaken by the business. To identify and submit continuous improvement ideas to help improve the business. To ensure that customers are treated fairly whilst best representing the interests of the business. To adhere to company DPA policies regarding storage of information.Essential: Good literacy and numerical skills. Ability to work on own initiative and support others in a team where necessary. Good analytical skills and attention to detail. Good understanding of pensions market and wider financial services industry. Good IT skills. Minimum Grade C or 4 GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent.
