Quinton Davies have a vacancy for a full-time payroll manager for an accountancy practice based in central Cardiff to effectively manage and be responsible for a busy payroll department in delivering excellent service to our clients.Working as part of an experienced, professional, and friendly team of accountants and tax advisors.ExperienceThe successful candidate would have previous experience in processing payrolls of varied in size and complexity. Technical payroll knowledge is essential, a basic knowledge of Tax, NI, RTI, SMP, SSP, SAP and Auto Enrolment will also be an essential requirement. Experience of speaking and advising clients to deliver an exceptional client experience.Duties & Responsibilities:As part of managing our busy payroll department, you will be required to carry out the following tasks in an efficient and proactive manner.* Processing payroll of varying frequencies (weekly, monthly, fortnightly, etc.), including the collation of timesheets etc* All aspects of administration including starters and leavers* Ensuring all necessary payments are made within the deadlines set, for example pension contributions and BACS salary payments* Liaising with HMRC and other relevant third parties* Answering queries from clients regarding tax, NI, employee benefits etc* Process and submit Contractor Industry Scheme returns* Processing year end payroll procedures* Ensuring payroll knowledge is up to date and in line with HMRC, with procedures updated accordingly.If you would like to be considered for this post, please contact Lewis Bittle today.Thanks for considering an application.
