My client, a well-established Recruitment business, is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee a small payroll team in processing salaries for 300 temporary workers per week.This is a new and interesting role that will require the successful candidate to manage the payroll process and assist in its smooth running, making changes for efficiency and be in line with worker and company requirements. An understanding in invoice financeand temporary recruitment agency payroll will stand you in good stead, as will a background in general Payroll Management.As the Payroll Manager, youll be looking after a portfolio of recruitment customers, managing multiple payrolls weekly / monthly, overseeing all processes and co-ordinating a small payroll team, working with various national pension providers, whilst beingrequired to deliver an accurate and timely payroll service ensuring that each stage of the process is successfully managed and that all employees are paid correctly within full HMRC and payroll guidelines.On a daily basis, you will work closely with the senior operations team / stakeholders to ensure you provide clients and temporary workers with an exceptional level of service. This is a client facing role, supporting them with payroll specific queries,such as IR35, holiday entitlements and related pension / HMRC contribution queries.You shall also be working with the product team to help streamline processes and improve productivity within the business as a whole.The successful candidate will be seeking a 6-month contract within a hybrid working model, requiring approx. one to two days per week in the Cardiff office.As well as extensive experience of payroll within the recruitment and contingent workforce sectors, you shall ideally be an expert in running payroll from start to finish and have knowledge of invoice finance. You must have excellent communication skills,a high level of attention to detail and possess the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00.
