We support all business areas to deliver the company purpose by ensuring our services are resilient, enabling all business areas to continue to provide their high level of customer service, even during a major incident.The Business Resilience Team work collaboratively with teams across the Group to document, test and analyse processes ensuring our pillars: cyber; people; property; technology and suppliers are resilient. We ensure business areas have robust plans in place to continue providing services to our customers in the event of a major incident and we manage these incidents through to resolution, minimizing the impact on our colleagues, customers and the business.We attract talent; by being fully immersed in our business, influencing and understanding our short, medium and long term aspirations. We have worked hard to establish ourselves as a reliable team and subject matter experts in business resiliency; providing the correct balance of knowledge and challenge which supports managers and leaders to make the right decisions at difficult times.Based in our dynamic Cardiff office, you will sit amongst the Business Continuity Team.What would your day look like· Support and lead on elements of the Operational Resilience framework including liaising with pillar owners for Cyber, Facilities, People, Suppliers and Technology.· Engaging with senior leaders and relevant SMEs across the Group to map out the Critical Business Services and support reporting to OpCo, ExCo and Board as required· Developing impact tolerances for each critical business services and engaging with relevant SMEs across the Group to identify, metrics and coordinate reporting· Support the Business Continuity & Incident Manager in developing disruptive scenarios, their potential impacts, and assessment of readiness to mitigate the risk of harm to consumers, customer, and the Group· Manage incidents (in and out of hours) through to a satisfactory resolution in an efficient and effective way and in-line with the incident management policy, and incident management plans by working with the business areas affected, convening and chairing incident management meetings and executing the recovery strategy as outlined in business continuity plans· To maintain an awareness of the Groups critical business services, awareness of the various Operational Resilience pillars (Cyber, IT, People, facilities, and Supplier management)· Understand of the regulatory environment commensurate with the role.What do we expect of you

  • Working knowledge of the appropriate standards and regulations e.g. ISO22301, and FCA/PRA/BoE publications in relation to Operational Resilience.
  • Management skills; proven engaging and inclusive management style, with experience of having managed Business Continuity / Incident Management / operational processes / risk management initiatives.
  • Analytical skills - able to analyse and interpret key facts across a spectrum of data sources, providing stakeholders with clear and concise recommendations and reports.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement experience, including experience of working in a matrix management structure.
  • Problem solving / decision making skills - ability to decide, under pressure, the best course of action required to solve a range of problems from complex queries to technical issues.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills - communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring content and style, with ability to make a positive impression on others. Coaching, training and mentoring experience across diverse teams, capable of effectively managing conflict and change, resolving problems expeditiously.
  • The ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time, with a high degree of self-motivation / drive.
