Job Description

TSR Legal are exclusively working with a leading firm of solicitors who have a network of offices across the UK in their search for a qualified and experienced Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to join their business as Head of Department to leadtheir office located in Cardiff.The office has amazing potential and will enable the successful candidate to make the office their own and to become a market leader in Private Client within the local area.The Head of Department will also be responsible for supervising a team of Legal Advisors and for the overall performance of the branch in line with agreed business plans. They will be responsible for the delivery of their business targets and key performanceindicators (KPIs), whilst ensuring that customer service levels are maintained and legal services are delivered to the highest standard in line with their company values and core purpose.Main Responsibilities:

  • Driving our business targets and KPIs. KPIs include, but are not limited to, financial performance and excellence in compliance and customer service.
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the team.
  • Ensuring all team members are delivering and complying with their service model. This extends to compliance with their internal policies and procedures.
  • Providing ongoing training, coaching and mentoring support to all team members which includes, but is not limited to, conducting monthly performance development reviews, carrying out quarterly observations, delivering regular team meetings/workshops andsupervising all legal work.
  • Growing the team by working with the HR and L&D departments within the firm to recruit, train, onboard and provide ongoing to development to all team members
  • Managing a small caseload of Private Client matters whilst building the team and balancing leadership responsibilities.

  • Legal knowledge and skills:The successful candidate must be a qualified Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to fulfil both fee-earning and supervisory responsibilities
