Job Description

Multiskilled EngineerAre you a Multiskilled Engineer looking for your next career move Are you looking to work on a days-based shift pattern If yes then please read on for more information on this exciting role.Yolk Recruitment are currently working with a rapidly growing SME manufacturer who have a large international firm backing them and who has long term plans to develop their maintenance team.As a Multiskilled Engineer this is what youll be doing.You will be working on a 3 shift pattern taking control of a busy site covering 3 manufacturing areas ensuring all aspects of machinery breakdown and upgrades are attended to quickly and safely.The company are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer with good knowledge of Machinery Installation, Panel building and Maintenance. Tasks will include:

  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  • Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  • Ensure that general building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
  • Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
  • Support the introduction of new machinery ad products.
  • Work closely with other internal departments.
The Experience youll bring to the team.
  • You will be Multiskilled Engineer, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  • You will have experience of completing inspection and testing work.
  • You will have completed an apprenticeship or Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineer.
  • The ability to operate workshop equipment (i.e. milling machine, surface grinder) is highly advantageous
  • A time served engineer/technician with a minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Experience with FMCG machinery (Desirable)
