Job Description

The role:A successful financial services business focused on retail savings, retail and commercial lending now wish to appoint a Money Laundering Reporting Officer SMF17 (MLRO). The MLRO will support the CRO and be the primary point of contact for day to day businessactivities ensuring full adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements in relation to financial crime compliance. Further responsibilities include.

  • Design and delivery of Financial Crime suite of policies & standards in support of first line of defence
  • Production and presentation of MLRO to board
  • Maintaining and updating all relevant policies and procedures designed to address financial crime risks
  • Maintain financial crime assessments, identifying all financial crime risks
  • Design, implement and maintain a robust risk-based monitoring programme
  • Identify, document and propose resolutions to breaches and make improvements where appropriate
  • Promote good working practices across the Group

  • Experience in Financial Crime for a bank or regulated financial services business
  • SMF17 experience desirable
  • Expert in AML legislation
  • Experience of training/mentoring staff
  • Excellent stakeholder manager and communicator
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven analytical and investigative skills
Salary: £70k - £82k plus 15% pension, PMI, health, 28 days, gym, flex working
