Job OverviewWe are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer in Cardiff to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro/mechanical tasks to meet clients requirements. Are you a person whocan deliver a high quality of service, with a keen eye for detail * Monday - Friday 0800-1630.* Salary upto £33,000 depending on qualifications and experience.* Company vehicle to get to and from work.* Tools included.* 33days holiday plus amazing benefits including private healthcare, Life Assurance and lots of others! Main Duties* Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.* This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.* To be an ambassador for the company whilst visiting customers sites.* Maintain customers water log-books and complete the necessary documentation in line with current guidelines and company policy.* To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.* Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.* Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.* The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.* To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.* Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.* Ensure that any equipment for which you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.* Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.* Take personal responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of those around you* Follow safety procedures, wear all PPE correctly as per company policy and any site-specific requirements.What we are looking for* Previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is desirable.* Knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.* Basic IT skills, preferably with Microsoft package is a necessary skill.* The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.* Someone who is organised and can manage their time effectively, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
