Job Description

As the Manufacturing Manager you will oversee and control all aspects of Production, Planning and Warehousing so as to allow the company to meet customer demand in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner and facilitate future growth.Client DetailsMy client are an established British manufacturing company with several sites across the UK.DescriptionThe Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing the costs of producing all products against agreed standard costs, working within a defined budget to ensure that customers (external & internal) receive quality products, service, and on time delivery.Full recovery of all production costs, via efficient production planning is a key result area of the role. .

  • Lead cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives in the manufacturing process.
  • Organise and maintain efficient and trained production staff at a level required to meet customer demand and improve our business.
  • Create and maintain a working environment conducive to teamwork, goal setting and goal getting.
  • Ensure all production operations are carried out safely, and aligned with the quality objectives of the business.
  • Focus and prioritise delivering a safe working environment across all levels through coaching and development
  • Lead the continuous development of an industry leading manufacturing operation through the implementation of best practice systems, procedures and working practices.
ProfileAs the Manufacturing Manager you will have demonstrated strong achievements around leading and developing production teams.
  • Qualified in an engineering discipline.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a track record gained in a metal forming, cutting, welding environment but not essential.
  • Implementing, developing and managing a continuous improvement culture.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable ability to influence others.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
