Job Description

Great opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a highly regarded employer in the area. Hybrid and flexible working. You will be working in a collaborative team with a great culture.To take responsibility for the reporting and accounting functions of certain new and existing funds to facilitate efficient and effective financial support for the management team. Main duties and responsibilities

    • Preparation/Review of the monthly management accounts and providing insightful narrative on balance movements.
    • Lead on the creation and management of the reporting requirements
    • Oversee the drawdown of investment funds, the payment of fund management fees from funds and the distribution of capital and income cash collections to Holding Funds on a timely basis.
    • Preparation of investment funding drawdown documentation as required based on advice as to funding requirements provided by the respective fund managers. Maintaining pipeline and investment data required by holding funds in support of investment fundingdrawdown claims.
    • Calculation of quarterly fund management fees, including management of any retention deducted from those fees, tracking of such retention and calculation of the related performance bonus.
    • Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly data submissions
    • To assist with the recasting of fund forecasting models as and when necessary.
    • Lead on the preparation of financial data and narrative for quarterly reports to stakeholders.
    • Lead on the preparation of the annual financial statements and statutory accounts for associated entities.
    • To work with the Finance Team with development and improvement of the accounting and associated systems in accordance with best practice.
    • To support in the management of the accounting and financial control procedures which safeguard the assets of the company. To proactively identify areas of weakness and work across departments to identify / implement improvements.
    • Reviewing inputs to the portfolio management system to ensure accuracy of information held.
    • Co-operation with auditors, advisers and stakeholders as required.
    • Providing cover for the other team members as required.
    • Preparation of ad hoc tasks and accounting reports as required.
    • Any other task as may be defined by the Forecasting and Planning Accountant to meet the operational needs of the department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Essential
  • Holder of a recognised UK accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Knowledge of preparation of financial statements under IFRS and/or FRS 102.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Team working skills and an open and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • IT/PC literate with advanced ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Up to date knowledge of technical accounting developments.
  • Well organized and ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand integrated financial forecasts.
