Job Description

Are you a passionate sales professional ready for the next step in your career Are you ready to have more autonomy in your role whilst being support by a friendly and experienced teamAt Jewson we are looking for a Major Account Manager to join our team covering Wales. This individual will be working closely with the Sales Manager in Cardiff, so a candidate based in South Wales would be ideally located.This Major Account Manager role sits within the Major Account Sales team, where you will report directly to the Major Account Director with the support of a friendly and knowledgeable sales team across the UK.What you will be doing:Some key duties may include

  • Design and deliver sales plans in order to meet, achieve and exceed sales and margin targets and budgets, with an aim to maximise brand performance and deliver an exceptional customer value proposition
  • Primary contact for designated customer accounts across the business, ensuring they receive excellent service at all times, whilst continuously expanding on our customer offer
  • Provide improved business solutions that drive delivery of continuous improvement from the business to the customer across designated accounts, through collaboratively working to deliver business tools and processes to support enhanced sales performance
  • Work collaboratively across the business to support the delivery of the sales strategy, through delivering an exceptional customer experience to improve our market position
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective customers in some of the biggest development companies in the UK, ensuring Jewson are our customers favourite choice of supplier
  • Work collaboratively across the business to identify behaviours and capabilities required to ensure we deliver on our customer promise, through working with others who have the right attitude to support the overall offer
What were looking for:For this role we are looking for someone passionate about sales and wants to be out in the field meeting customers and developing their portfolio. Whilst experience within Building Materials would be beneficial we believe products can be taught, the uniquefactors that make someone a great salesperson are more important.
  • Proven experience in a proactive sales environment
  • Proven track record of results achievement
  • Proven ability to grow and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to self-manage within job role
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence effectively
  • Ability to work within a team locally, regionally, and nationally
  • Knowledge of distribution sector and geographical area an advantage, but not essential
  • Full valid driving license
