Logistics PlannerCardiff (CF3)Monday to Friday, flexible to business from 06:30 to 17:00 with every other Saturday£35,000 to £38,000 per annum dependant on experienceAcorn Recruitment is working with a leading waste management company seeking a Logistics Planner to assist their operations due to a recent expansion. The role would be from the site based in Cardiff.Job Duties:* Reviewing work capacity vs vehicle requirements, reviewing delivery tickets for ready pre-invoicing checks, customers signatures, weights, and timestamps, and liaising with customers to ensure we are meeting the customers expectations liaising with thelogistics manager to enable the logistics manager to create daily reports on completed work and forecasts capacity issues* Route planning for our vehicles dynamically during the day and proceeding days in line with customer requirements* Receiving customers orders on the telephone, via email, and in, a positive and approachable manner is essential* Updating orders onto our management system and planning those to vehicles* Debriefing drivers each day with their start times and the daily requirement of each delivery* Ensure all daily and weekly delivery tickets are correctly signed and completed by every driver ready for the tickets to be passed for invoicingSkills & Experience:* The successful candidate must be willing to be flexible in their approach to the role requirements, dedicated, and willing to go the extra mile when required* Good working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential* Experience in route planning is required however we are open to training the best applicant from the ground up* An understanding of tachograph legislation and driving hours is preferred however a desire and willingness to learn in this area is also ok* An understanding of FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) is desired but full training and guidance will be provided* A full UK driving licence is essential as you may be required to drive company vehicles on rare occasionsTo be considered for this post, please apply with you up to date CV.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
